It's snowing! I know that snow isn't news for some of you but here in Seattle, it is a big deal. Typically I can count how many days of snow we get each year. Last year I think it was one. This year, I've already lost count and winter's just begun. Snow throughout the winter would be a dream come true for me.
We've made soap to give to friends and family, along with the jam we made this summer. It's been so long since we've made soap that we'd forgotten how. I'm a lot more concerned about being exposed to the fumes from mixing the lye than I was 10 years ago. It must be having a child in the house that does that.
This is the vanilla coconut. Mmmm it smells luscious.
Here's the orange clove. Such a warm fresh smell for a cold winters morning.
Okay, here's the give away.
I ended up with two copies of the most recent Somerset Life and I'd like to give it to someone. If you'd like it leave me a comment. This issue has been out a good long time now so I don't expect many will want it but if there's more than one I'll draw a name. I'll wrap it up with a bar of the soap and send it off.
I'll close with these delightful little snowmen. These beauties were made by LK Ludwig. I was fortunate to get them last year.
Happiest of holiday wishes to you!
