I love to see other peoples studios so I thought I'd share photos of my work space. It's a work in progress in our basement. I appreciate that it's so accessible. Since I work full-time, I'm certain I wouldn't take the time to leave my family to work elsewhere very often. I'll soon start renting jewelry studio time at Pratt so I can have access to the torches, hammers, and stakes but I'll only be going for an hour or so each time. I'll mostly do what I need to do at home but since I can't keep a large torch here for safety reasons, I need access to the torch on occasion.
This is the painting corner.
My palette.
This is going to be the jewelry bench. Like I said, it's a work in progress. I've generally worked at the dining room table or the studio at Pratt but since I won't be taking a class this summer, I imagine this space will get sorted out so I can do some work.
How do you keep your paint from drying out?
